The Iranian Youth Cinema Society reported that ‘Naji’ by Hossein Torkjosh will be screened at the 8th edition of the Canadian festival.
“Immigrants will also succeed; If poverty let them,” a synopsis for the film reads.
Earlier reports said ‘The Statue’ by Mohsen Salehifard, ‘Shadow’ by Farzin Taheri, ‘The Choice’ by Mansoureh Radfar, and Reza Javanshir’s ‘The Psychopath’ will also take part in the Gbeck Future.
The Gbeck Future Film Festival is “a competition of original films created by filmmakers from around the world,” an online submission platform reads.
The festival is “designed to discover and support young filmmakers”.
“Many great young filmmakers have been fostered by this event, and many excellent new films were discovered in the selection process.”
The 8th edition of the Gbeck Future Film Festival will take place on April 8-10.
